The wonderful attraction in Gulmarg is the Cable Car ride, which is also known as Gondola Lift/Ride (1 km west of Gulmarg’s bus stand).The ride is divided into two sections – Gulmarg to Kongdori and Kongdori to Apherwat. The Gondola passes over the pine forests, starting from a height of 2690 m above sea level and rise up to 3090 m while reaching Kongdoor.

A monument of the British Rule in India, St Mary's Church is a religiously important church in Gulmarg. The construction of the church dates back to 150 years and was done by famous British architectures in the construction style of British churches.
The Shiva temple was actually the royal temple of Dogra kings of Jammu and Kashmir.Also known as “Rani Temple” or “Maharani Temple”,this is situated on a small hillock in the centre of Gulmarg.The unique thing about this royal temple is the fact that it can be seen from all the corners of Gulmarg.The Maharani temple also known as Mohineshwar Shivalalaya was built by Mohini Bai Sisodhia, the wife of the erstwhile ruler of Kashmir Maharaja Hari Singh (the last king of Kashmir) in 1915
Khilanmarg is a small valley about a 6-km walk from the Gulmarg bus stop and car park. The meadow, carpeted with flowers in the spring, is the site for Gulmarg’s winter ski runs and offers a fine view of the surrounding peaks and over the Kashmir Valley. It’s a 600-metre ascent from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg.
A hidden attraction in Gulmarg is Strawberry Valley, unexploited by tourism and still holding its nascent beauty and charm. The emerald meadows with budding red strawberries look like a picture straight out from Garden of Eden. Baba Rishi Shrine situated in the Baramulla district of Jammu & Kashmir is a shrine named after Sufi Saint Baba Payam Uddin Reshi. It was constructed in 1480. Baba Reshi’s shrine was constructed in a Mughal and Persian style. The shrine has been built in the place where the saint spent his final days in prayer and meditation. Numerous people, both residents and tourists, visit this shrine each year to pay respects to the saint. This shrine is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
